Second ADIZ Public Meeting Is Wednesday

January 17, 2006 — The second of two public meetings on the proposal to establish a permanent Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area Special Flight Rules Area (D.C. ADIZ) takes place Wednesday, January 18, at the Dulles Airport Marriott. This provides one more chance for concerned aviation enthusiasts to voice their opinions to FAA officials on the widely opposed plan. Just under 20,000 submissions have been entered into the docket, the overwhelming majority of which strongly oppose the ADIZ.

The first session Wednesday runs from 1-4 p.m. and the second from 6:30-9 p.m. Those unable to attend can still submit written comments through February 6 to FAA via http://dms.dot.gov/search/searchFormSimple.cfm. Enter the docket number, 17005.
